With the completion of tasting of the 100th red wine in the final round, the 9th Ningbo International Wine Challenge & Wines of CEE Countries hosted by Ningbo Import Commodities Exhibition & Trading Center and Ningbo Free Trade Zone Import Commodities Market officially came to an end in Ningbo Import Commodities Market.

A total of 96 wines won the challenge. Among them, there were 30 gold awards, 27 gold awards and 25 silver awards. A total of 14 wines from Central and Eastern Europe won awards (including 3 gold awards, 6 gold awards and 5 silver awards).

Inheriting the fine tradition of the previous eight competitions, this year's Ningbo International Wine Challenge continues to attract high-quality imported and domestic wines from all over Ningbo and even the country.

The 100 points system was adopted to evaluate the wines from four aspects, including appearance, aroma, taste and style. The wines were also categorized according to type, country and subdivided appellation. Professional judges divided them into A/B groups for blind tasting.

In order to help the domestic CEE wine further landing, more closely combined with the Chinese market,during the challenge, the organizing committee specially paired the typical wines of CEE countries with the representatives of eight Chinese cuisines.

At the end of the challenge, the organizer will launch a Guide on Pairing Eight Cuisines and Central and Eastern European Wines, so that consumers can vividly and easily experience the characteristics of central and eastern European wines and explore the possibilities of central and eastern European wines and Chinese food.
