According to Liv-ex, the Year of the Tiger has revived interest in 2010 Bordeaux wines from Asia – the last vintage under the Year of the Tiger.

The acclaimed 2010 vintage accounted for around 13.13% of Bordeaux’s trade in Asia, up from 11% last year or 9.6% five years ago. The vintage was originally released at record-breaking prices in 2011, shortly before the Bordeaux market began to decline.

The ensuing price drop has made the 2010 vintage more attractive in recent years – especially now that they are ready to drink, Liv-ex suggested.

Looking down, Asia's most traded Bordeaux 2010 vintages include Chateau Cheval (albeit the most expensive vintage for the estate in the past 15 years), Chateau Clinet, Chateau Lafite and Mouton Rothschild's second wine, and the 2010 Carruades de Lafite.

Pomerol's Chateau Petrus 2010 also saw an increase in demand, rising by 30.7%, making it one of Bordeaux's best-performing wines.
